Renovations
MMA, Inc. was retained to design this Arts and Crafts influenced home in a prominent Boston suburb. The oversized lot had mature trees and plenty of room for the growing family’s ambitious program. Muted, natural materials were employed to blend into the established surroundings. A strong stone plinth, or base, was utilized for proper visual weight and protection from New England winters. The use of stucco, corbeled cornices, copper, and wood shingles speaks to the elegant architectural style and compliments the more traditional neighborhood aesthetic.
The interior edits the same architectural style into a clean, transitional statement with open floor plans, crisp, clean architectural millwork, and plenty of room for the extended family. The home boasts graceful flow to the exterior with screened, heated porches, terraces, and an outdoor kitchen to enjoy in the good weather.
