Morehouse MacDonald and Associates utilizes the number one online project management software Basecamp—to effectively centralize all project key information, discussion, ‘record deliverables,’ and pertinent files shared amongst all the internal and external team members. Over 15 million people use Basecamp today and MMA was one of the first architecture firms using it in the Boston area, if not the entire country.
Our experience with using fully web-based software (SaaS—software as a service) runs as far back as 2006. As a general business project management tool, MMA has developed an effective approach to customizing Basecamp that works for our architectural practice, and we continue to refine our approach. By building this skill-set around what today is referred to “working in the cloud” our studio has built efficiencies in serving a growing geographically diverse client base with construction sites far beyond Boston and even the United States.
